Lavender Peaches, a heady summer dessert. Mans |
If you want to conjure up a fresh summery dessert in an
instant, this delightful dish is your answer. I wish I could claim as my own,
but sadly cannot; I saw old Nige (Slater) making it on the telly.
I don’t know what it is, but the lavender perfectly perfumes
the peaches, while the dessert wine gives it an edge that doesn’t make the dish
altogether girly.
'Shamelessly let your feminine side free', I say. Mans |
WHAT YOU NEED
- About 1 peach per person
- A glug of dessert wine (chilled) per person
- A scattering lavender flowers
Isn't that peachy? Mans |
WHAT TO DO
Give each peach a good wash to get rid of the nasty fur. Cut
into delicate wedges and toss into a pudding bowl. Pour in a glug of sweet
white or pink wine; I guess sweet bubbles will also do the trick. Gently pluck
the little flowers from a lavender bud and scatter ‘artistically’ over the
dish. Serve with an air of feminine flamboyance… especially if you are a dude.
Don't hold back on the wine. Mans |
